March 15th, 2007 by clumsy-eirhaThe Eowyn Complex
February 23rd, 2007 by clumsy-eirhaI had recently invented this terminology to categorize what Peachy and I suffer from… Yes, the Eowyn complex after the famous character from Tolkien’s books. Eowyn fell in love with Aragorn, the gallant and brave knight. The knight, however, is too busy fighting off the bad guys… This whole unrequited love seem to have gone too far to ever go back from. Pining for the perfect guy is not actually healthy for both of us, but still, we love to wallow in it even if it pains us.
Celebrations
February 21st, 2007 by clumsy-eirhaClashing with myself, once again
February 17th, 2007 by clumsy-eirhaWhile I am bopping my head to The Clash song "Rock the Casbah", I contemplate on the complications of my so-far adult life.
I hate how I am expected to be something I’m really not.
I am pressured to have a "normal" 21-year old life (whatever that means)…
I am expected to act and dress in a mature adult kind of way (and then if I do, they balk at my sense of style…. hey, I’m a vintage kind of person!)
I regret that I did not enjoy my childhood and adolescence fully.
the whole new experience
February 11th, 2007 by clumsy-eirhaI had several doubts regarding the whole speed dating thing. I mean, how could I possibly decide between tons of guys whom I met for only three to four minutes? But then again, my friend just dragged me so there I went. Yes, the heat was absolutely scorching hot and I was beginning to lose my voice (again). The guys, most of them, were okay…. as friends / new acquaintances, and nothing more than that…. I had fun meeting new people and I never thought I would be as confident as I was during the event.
